Taking Education Online: assessment of the mental health impact of studying online as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

June 2020

A new project, Taking Education Online, aims to address the challenges faced by staff and students as a consequence of education shifting online.

As part of the ‘King’s COVID-19 Response’, the project will explore the mental health impact of studying online on both staff and students. It will investigate the essential requirements of supporting online studying and whether staff and students retain a sense of engagement and belonging. The researchers hope to gain an understanding of potential costs and benefits to online education and how to support high levels of engagements for students and staff.
