The Wolfson Foundation grant £1M to The Pears Maudsley Centre of Children and Young People.

July 2020

The Wolfson Foundation has confirmed a major grant to support the creation of a centre of care and research for children and young people’s mental health.

The Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People will bring expertise from King’s College London’s Institute of Psychiatry (IoPPN) and the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SlaM). The Wolfson Foundation is an independent charity that recognises and promotes excellence in the fields of science and health, heritage, humanities and the arts. The grant will enable the centre to conduct research that identifies mental health difficulties early and transforms the treatment of children and young people in the country and internationally.
